THIN BLUE LINE RIFLE CARTRIDGE PEN USING 2, 308, RIFLE CASINGS. The tip and clip are silver in color. This pen was made using a, 308 caliber, nickel rifle casing and a 308 black powder coated casing with a blue line. The powder coated casing has a mirror gloss finish. The primers have been removed. The rifle casings have been fired and may have miner scratches and dents due to the firing from the rifle. This only adds to the character of the pen. The rifle casing will have a natural patina over time and can be cleaned with a non corrosive metal polish. The Black powder coated casings are very durable and can be touched up with a towel or a wax type of polish. To replace the ink, twist off the top of the pen and unscrew the pen cartridge. The pen cartridge is a standard cross refill. HISTORY OF BLUE THIN LINE The Thin Blue Line is a symbol used by Law Enforcement in the United States and Canada to commemorate fallen officers and to symbolize the relationship of the police in the community as the protectors of the citizenry from the criminal element.
