This elegantly designed Montblanc Marcel Proust Meisterstuck Limited Edition ballpoint pen was introduced in 1999 as part of Montblanc's writers series which commemorates writers of note. The pen honors 20th Century French novelist, critic, and essayist Marcel Proust. In addition to the shiny black resin found in its cap and accents, the Marcel Proust fountain pen features sterling silver as the material for its intricately designed barrel, and decorative rings. The elaborate design of the pen's hexagonal shaped barrel is meant to give a sense of the early 20th Century, the era in which the author lived and worked, as well as to reflect the writer's well known dedication to detail. The barrel is also where Montblanc has incorporated the writer's signature into the pen.

The Montblanc Marcel Proust fountain pen comes with its complete service guide booklet, book-shaped fabric-lined case, box and sleeve. All are in excellent condition.

The box and sleeve indicate the pen is model 28655. The cap displays the white Montblanc six-point star logo. The pen is preowned but looks like it was never used. It appears to be in mint condition with no obvious signs of wear or use. Anything that might appear to be a mark or flaw is simply dust or an artifact in the photo due to the flash.
